dc.description.abstractThe principal aim of this paper is to find the solution for the dumping situation of construction wastes such as broken tiles, glasses etc by reusing them as coarse or fine aggregate in making concrete for new construction work. Another aim is to reduce the cost of new construction work by reusing the broken tiles and glasses as partially replaced aggregates which have low priorities like sidewalk of a road. To achieve the goal total 88 concrete cylinders were made using waste broken tiles as coarse aggregate and waste glasses powder as fine aggregates which were used with fresh stone chips and sand respectively as replacement of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% of the total coarse and fine aggregate. To determine the compressive & tensile strength of the concrete, cylinders were tested in SU lab by destructing the cylinders with the help of Universal Testing Machine (UTM). From the analytical results, we got the highest average compressive strength was 5593 psi where standard concrete cylinder had the highest compressive strength of 4743 psi. The highest compressive strength was 5834 psi, by using 25% of broken tiles waste as coarse aggregate in the concrete cylinder we get this results. But when we used glass powder as fine aggregate the strength was decreased comparatively. The same scenario happened in the case of tensile strength and the highest average tensile strength was 380 psi and the highest tensile strength was 470 psi for 10% tiles where fresh stone chips concrete cylinder had the tensile strength of 319 psien_US
