    Abstract
    In today's digital age, a robust and efficient network infrastructure is pivotal for the seamless operation of educational institutions. This thesis project explores the design, implementation, and optimization of a campus network tailored to meet the evolving connectivity needs while ensuring utmost security. The project aims to address the challenges associated with scalability, reliability, and security within the campus network environment. The efficacy of the proposed campus network design is evaluated through simulation studies and real-world experimentation. Performance metrics such as throughput, latency, and packet loss are analyzed to assess the network's reliability and efficiency. Additionally, security assessments and penetration testing are conducted to evaluate the resilience of the network against malicious attacks and vulnerabilities. The project begins with an analysis of existing campus network architectures, followed by the proposal of a novel framework integrating SDN, VLANs[1], and Wireless, LAN [1]. Scalability and seamless connectivity across campus departments are key focuses. Furthermore, the project delves into security measures to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate potential cyber threats. Implementation of access control policies, encryption protocols, and network segmentation techniques is explored to fortify the network perimeter and protect against unauthorized access and data breaches. The outcomes of this thesis project contribute to the advancement of campus network design methodologies, providing insights into best practices for enhancing connectivity and security in educational environments. The findings offer valuable recommendations for network administrators and stakeholders to optimize their campus network infrastructure, fostering a conducive environment for teaching, learning, and research endeavors
