The research examines the mechanical and durability characteristics of concrete incorporating waste
plastic-based aggregate in lieu of natural coarse aggregate. The investigation encompasses various
parameters including compressive strength, impermeability, and water resistance. The study
underscores the growing significance of plastic waste within municipal solid waste streams, presenting
a pressing environmental challenge due to its persistent presence and visual impact. Concurrently, the
escalating pace of urbanization, particularly in developing nations, compounds the strain on natural
resource reserves earmarked for the construction sector. Addressing these dual challenges necessitates
effective waste management strategies, such as repurposing plastic waste into valuable construction
materials. Consequently, the principal aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of integrating plastic
waste as a substitute for coarse aggregates in concrete formulations
