Multiple linear regression is used in trip generation modeling in Dhaka City to forecast daily MRT non-home-based trips per household and to comprehend travel characteristics. Travel behavior in Dhaka City is influenced by factors such as household income, family size, location, ownership of a car, purpose of the trip, mode of transportation, length of the trip, time spent traveling, and cost. The study highlights the significance of trip forecasting for transportation planning by focusing on non-home-based trip generation modeling for the MRT in the Agargaon to Uttara North segment. The goal of the research is to create multiple linear regression models that can be used to forecast future trips depending on a range of variables. Additionally, the research offers a fundamental framework for ongoing analysis of MRT trip generation in Dhaka. If we could work with multiple segments or even the entire area, we might be able to improve the data quality.en_US
