The thesis explores the use of Glass powder as a partial replacement for conventional aggregates in sand. The objective is to determine if we can increase the strength by using waste glass powder and the effects of these eco-friendly materials on compressive strength, particularly in lightweight concrete applications. The study involves mixing different proportions of Glass Powder (5%, 10%, 15% & 20%) into the sand and testing their performance after curing for 7 and 28 days. In the 7-day result, there was no significant result showing against normal sand but in the 28-day result, it showed huge changes in strength and the strength had increased a lot than the normal sand. Compressive strength up to 28 days respectively will be compared with those of the control mix created with natural sand. However, higher glass powder content slightly affects workability. This research demonstrates the potential of Glass Powder in producing lightweight, strong, and sustainable concrete, suitable for concrete casting. Glass powder utilized in concrete creation ends up in a greener setting. It highlights the environmental benefits of using alternative materials in construction, aligning with global sustainability trends. The work is done using M20-grade concrete.
