The GSM-Based Accident Sensing System with GPS Integration is an innovative approach
to enhance road safety by deploying an intelligent and responsive system in vehicles. This
system utilizes a combination of sensors and communication modules, including Node
MCU, GSM, and GPS, to detect and report accidents promptly. In the event of a sudden
impact or unusual vehicle behavior, the system triggers an immediate response mechanism.
The project employs accelerometer or gyroscopes to detect abrupt changes in acceleration,
indicative of a potential accident. The Node MCU, functioning as the central controller,
processes this sensor data and, in conjunction with the GPS module, determines the precise
location of the vehicle. In the case of an accident, the system activates the GSM module to
send a detailed SMS alert to a predefined emergency contact number. This alert includes
critical information about the accident and the current GPS coordinates, enabling swift
emergency response. A buzzer is integrated into the system to audibly signal the accident
occurrence, drawing attention to the site and potentially expediting assistance. The
combination of GPS technology ensures that emergency services can quickly locate and
respond to the incident, improving overall response times in critical situations
