    Abstract
    Existing lawn mowing machines are often plagued by several issues, including high initial costs, excessive engine noise, significant operational expenses due to high fuel consumption, the necessity for perimeter wires to define the mowing area, and increased operator fatigue over time due to vibrations, noise, and other factors associated with different grass types. This highlights the need for a system that can deliver the same cutting performance as conventional mowers while minimizing operator fatigue, reducing noise pollution, and lowering operational costs. This paper presents the design and development of an automated lawn mower, a device capable of cutting grass with minimal human intervention. It features a linear blade driven by a robotic platform powered by a dual charging system—solar energy and AC supply. The robotic car is equipped with proximity sensors to detect and avoid obstacles during operation. The system can function in both semi-autonomous and fully autonomous modes, offering reduced running costs, no health risks for the operator, and minimal environmental impact. The prototype was tested, demonstrating that it effectively cuts grass while protecting users from exposure to harmful conditions.
