dc.description.abstractNational Bank of Pakistan was the largest commercial bank in the then East Pakistan. After liberation of Bangladesh in 1971, this bank along with two smaller banks, Premier Bank and Bank of Bahawalpur were merged into Sonali Bank. The bank was nationalized under Government order P.O.26, 1972.This bank was transformed into a Public Limited Company under 100% ownership of Government and started functioning as Sonali Bank Limited on 15 November, 2007. Sonali Bank Limited is the largest nationalized commercial bank in Bangladesh. Every person must have seen a branch of Sonali Bank in his/her local area. It is a service oriented company and providing different customer services to its clients through its various operations. The management of the bank is aware that without providing qualified services the bank will not be able to survive in this competitive business arena. By providing qualified customer services the bank will be able to retain its existing customers and attract new customers. It is the quality that determines the position and prospective of the bank. The objective of this report is to reveal feature of selection and recruitment process of Sonali Bank Limited and find out the weak areas and recommendations to recover these.
