| dc.description.abstract | The core objective of the internship is to fulfill the requirement of the MSCM program as
prescribed by the SU. I have been working as a warehouse management professional in Nahee
group of Industries Ltd. The main objective of the dissertation is to get the hands-on experience
of the real world organization. The Dissertation was complete with the objective of getting
practical knowledge in warehouse management of supply chain department of Nahee Group of
Industries Ltd. Warehouse management in is the major act of my work responsibilities.
A warehouse management system (WMS) is an information system that supports warehouse
stock management and administration. It is used to increase warehouse performance by
supporting systematic management processes. Due to the higher degree of automation in the
warehouse, manual administrative tasks are reduced, which reduces the chances of human
error and correct inventory level. In the case of warehouse management, I think it is important to
first find out what the problems are and then plan for the steps to be taken to solve them.
Such as: - 1. Raw materials should be kept in the right place and chemicals should be stored in
the right place separately so that there is no threat to the warehouse.
2. The inventory level needs to be properly updated on a daily basis.
3. Goods are often stored in warehouses, making it difficult to find raw materials. This can often
lead to the expiration of chemicals or some raw materials and can lead to breakage or damage
under pressure which must be kept free of clutter.
The warehouse management system can be improved if the warehouse management system is
managed by incorporating it with a barcode system. In this way a lot of convection process can
be done systematically. There is an importance of stakeholders in the management of this
warehouse which is researched by the factory managers and all the departments of the
company. I think there should be adequate research in warehouse management so that
problems in warehouse management can be easily found out and solved easily.
Another important aspect of warehouse management is providing leadership. Having a skilled
warehouse manager or manager makes warehouse management easier and makes it easier for
other employees to perform properly and make them more efficient which is a very important
factor in warehouse management.
