    The Role of Effective HR planning in Bangladesh: A case study on Bangladesh University of Health Sciences

    Abstract
    This report has been prepared as partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Master of Business Administration. As a part of my course, it is mandatory to get involvement with an organization for a certain period of time to acquire practical knowledge. The study aims at finding the application of Human Resources Planning (HRP) in the private universities of Bangladesh. The paper is based on primary data and secondary collected through structure questionnaire from the HR personnel of Private University of Bangladesh. A five scale Liker technique has been used to investigate the interviewees’ opinion. The HR office of Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) generates data and related support to their main campus. They maintain an integrative relation between local HR office and parents HR office to create any HR decisions. Basically, each of the Local HR decisions is finally taken by local HR manager in consultancy with head HR manager. Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) is the private university of Bangladesh. They maintain a competency mapping to provide necessary training to their employees. Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) usually forecasts their manpower for short time horizon. Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) forecasts their manpower for the employees required in administrative work and for the manpower required in manufacturing plant. They sets some criteria like, employee attires, attitude, punctuality, sincerity, education, efficiency in achieving target, late stay, holiday job and mostly 360* evaluation etc. These criteria are pre-requisite to get the next hierarchical position. Basically, this report is the partial requirement of HRP course. The purpose of the report is to apply the practical knowledge that we learned from HR planning course. It’s a very knowledgeable, resource able and a great pool of HR information.
