dc.description.abstractThe core objective of the Dissertation is to fulfil the requirement of the MSCM program as Prescribed by the SU. The main objective of the dissertation is to get the Hands-on experience of the real-world organization. The dissertation was completed with the objective of getting practical knowledge in the Procurement department of Saiham Group Limited.I preferred this attachment in saiham group which is a 100% export oriented garments industry. It is well planned and equipped garment, inspection firms and merchandising unit. It is fully approved by several multinational inspection firms. Negotiation in Procurement is one of the major parts of my job responsibilities. The Procurement department of Saiham Group Ltd offered me ample space and Opportunities, not only to learn but also to exhibit my skills as a Procurement team member. I could use my theoretical knowledge of Procurement in real practice while participating in many discussions. I also attempted to gather more information on basic job functions of other departments to have better understanding of the relation between them and the Procurement department. It was commendable to see how wholeheartedly they welcomed, acknowledged and appreciated new ideas and knowledge. I have provided few recommendations based upon my understanding and knowledge. I successfully completed all the assigned duties and handed them over to the senior supervisor at the end of the dissertation. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges that came along every single day. I could also bring some minor improvisations during my internship which were able to leave their marks. These lessons that I have learned will be a valuable one for my future endeavours as well.en_US
