    Abstract
    This internship report titled "General Banking Activities and Financial Performance Analysis of Social Islami Bank PLC" provides an in-depth study of the banking operations, services, and financial performance of Social Islami Bank PLC (SIBL). The report is based on the practical experience gained during the internship period, along with data gathered from primary and secondary sources. The report focuses on two core areas. The general banking division serves as the foundation of SIBL’s operations. The study highlights the various banking functions, including account opening, cash transactions, clearing services, remittance, and customer relationship management. The bank’s customer-centric approach and adherence to Shariah-based principles are explored in detail. The findings reveal how SIBL integrates modern banking services with Islamic principles to cater to diverse customer needs. The report analyzes the financial performance of SIBL over recent years using key financial ratios, including profitability, liquidity, efficiency, and solvency ratios. The analysis identifies trends, strengths, and areas for improvement in the bank’s financial stability and growth. Notable findings include SIBL’s steady profitability and its ability to maintain competitive efficiency in the banking industry. The internship experience provided a comprehensive understanding of the operations and financial health of Social Islami Bank PLC. Key observations include the bank’s commitment to innovation in Islamic banking, its strong customer service, and its strategic focus on achieving sustainable financial growth. The report concludes with recommendations aimed at enhancing SIBL’s operational efficiency, service quality, and financial performance, ensuring its continued success in the highly competitive banking sector.
