dc.description.abstractThe topic of this report was Performance Management System of Employees in Bangladesh: A Case Study on Excel Telecom (Pvt.) Limited. This report is originated as a partial requirement of BBA program, Department of Business Administration, Sonargaon University. Excel Telecom (Pvt.) Ltd. started its operation in Bangladesh in 2006, has now grown to become the nation’s one of the leading Mobile Brand Companies. Excel Telecom has established itself as a key player in the distribution of mobile handsets and accessories across the country. As a dynamic organization operating in a competitive market, its success relies significantly on effective performance management strategies. The performance management system at Excel Telecom is designed to align employee goals with the company's strategic objectives, ensuring a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance. The system incorporates a blend of goal setting, performance appraisals, feedback mechanisms, and employee development programs. Key components of this system include: Goal Alignment: Employees’ performance objectives are closely tied to organizational priorities, facilitating a focused and results-driven approach. Appraisal Process: A structured semi-annual and annual review process evaluates employee contributions, identifying top performers and areas requiring development. Feedback Culture: The company emphasizes open communication between managers and employees, fostering trust and engagement through regular feedback sessions. Training and Development: Excel Telecom invests in up skilling its workforce, offering training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to enhance individual and team performance.
