An Analytical Study on Financial Statements of Cosmos Group

Abstract

Cosmos Group activities range from media to mining, be it in Oil & Gas, Power, or renewable; Cosmos Group has been at the forefront of energy development of Bangladesh. This report covers an overall idea on the position of Cosmos Group. The first part of this report deals with introduction that presents the Origin of the report, Background of the study, Objective of the report, Statement of the problems, Methodology of the study and Limitation of the study. The second part of this report deals with the overview of Cosmos Group which contains history of Cosmos Group, Mission, Vision, value statement, Objective of Cosmos Group, Structure, Activities of CG, and Services of CG & its performance. The data used to furnish this report have been collected from the primary sources and secondary sources. Among primary and secondary sources most of the data have been collected from the secondary sources. The Study utilizes a case study approach, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative research method. The third part of this report deals with the financial statement analysis of Cosmos Group, secondly ratio analysis of Cosmos Group and which express the position of CG. After finishing last part, to identify strength and weakness of Cosmos Group and give some recommendations on the basis of the problems, to summarize the whole situation from my own observation.
