dc.description.abstract | This project introduces a compact and energy-efficient water purification system that utilizes
a Peltier module for both cooling and heating. The system incorporates a single-stage filtration
process using a ceramic filter to ensure clean, mineral-enriched water. A pump motor circulates
the water through the system, while the Peltier module regulates the temperature via the
thermoelectric effect. The hot and cold-water chambers are thermally managed using
aluminum heat sinks to enhance performance. An ATMEGA328PU microcontroller monitors
the temperature through sensors, enabling real-time adjustments and display.
The prototype consistently achieved heating and cooling within a temperature range of 18.8°C
to 42.8°C in just 29 minutes. This system offers a sustainable solution for residential, office,
and institutional use, providing purified water with user-defined temperature control. With low
energy consumption, no moving parts, and simple operation, it demonstrates a promising
application of thermoelectric technology in both water treatment and temperature regulation. | en_US |
