Solar Based Automatic Irrigation System
Abstract
The Solar-Powered Automatic Irrigation System integrates renewable energy and IoT-based
automation to optimize water usage in agriculture. This system utilizes solar photovoltaic
(PV) panels to generate electricity, powering a Node MCU microcontroller that automates the
irrigation process based on real-time soil moisture data. The system includes soil moisture
sensors to monitor water levels, a water pump for irrigation control, and an LCD display for
real-time updates.With IoT integration, farmers can remotely monitor and control irrigation
schedules via a mobile application or web interface. The Wi-Fi-enabled Node MCU allows
seamless data transmission, ensuring precise water delivery and preventing over- or under
irrigation. By leveraging solar energy, the system reduces reliance on conventional
electricity, making it ideal for off-grid and remote farming areas.This smart irrigation
solution enhances water conservation, improves crop yield, and reduces manual labor. The
