The compliance of “IFRS 15” (Revenue from Contracts with Customer) in ITD Bangladesh Company Limited

Abstract

ITD Bangladesh Company Limited is one of the biggest construction companies is Bangladesh which is engaged in the construction of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway Public Private Partnership (PPP) project at the present. Not only this project, this company recently completed the construction of Dhaka Metro Rail CP 03 and CP 04 as well that will be open for operation from Uttara Diyabari to Agargaon very soon. This company has the biggest machineries and many experienced foreign expatriates compare to any other construction company in Bangladesh. This report aims towards the proper compliance of IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customer) in the revenue generation system of this company. While preparing the report it has been tried to ins and outs and the overall process, steps, compliance and procedures of IFRS 15 and the apt implications over the revenue generation system of ITD Bangladesh Company Limited. I have pointed out the overall process of the revenue generation process in compliance with the IFRS 15 in this report including references and sources that I have used to make this report.
