Production and Operations Management Practices in Bangladesh; A Case Study on Akijbashir Group

Abstract

As a part of academic requirement and completion of RMBA program, I have been assigned to complete thesis report on “Production and Operations Management Practices of Akijbashir Group” under my supervisor Md. Rasel Hawlader. As usual, primary data and secondary data were used to prepare this report. Primary data came from my day to day observation and interviewing employees. Secondary data were collected by Organizational employees, hand book, website, and relevant books. I tried to minimize bias and produce and unbiased report. As a young internee in a reputed organization “Akijbashir Group”. I have tried to go through their Training and Development process to employee within little tenure of 03 months. The report start with a general introduction “Akijbashir Group” and then comes the introduction of “Akijbashir Group” as well as Origin of the report, Statement of the research problem, Objective of the report. The Mission and Vision of Akijbashir Group are also discussed. Then this report proceeds onto the preliminary discussion about the products of Akijbashir Group. After that I tried to shed a light on the Management structure of Akijbashir Group. All the function of all department are briefly described here. After that I continue on the main focus of the report “Production and Operations Management Practices of Akijbashir Group.” describing the different steps of these. Starting from identifying the need for new management, all the steps are well described with an example. After completion of this report it can easily be said that efficient, competent and active part in The Management system process take a company to the peak of the success. 7
