dc.description.abstractBangladesh is a country of Asia continent. It is situated in Southern part of this continent. This country got independence in 1971. Bangladesh Bank is the central bank of this country from 1971. This bank is contributing in many ways to develop the financial sectors of this country including local and foreign commercial Banks. In the past, all the banking activities were performed manually by using paper. At present, most of the banks are trying to use less paper or no paper by implementing technological issues like establishing ATM and CRM booths, introducing online banking, using natural resources like solar panel, providing loan to environment friendly projects. It is called Green Banking practicing in banking sector. In this thesis report, all the aspects of green banking have been discussed. As one of the least developed countries, Bangladesh is the worst sufferer of world environmental pollution. Under such extreme environmental threat, the financial sector of Bangladesh is playing a key role as one of the important stakeholders of the economy enforcing the businessmen of the country to design their various action plans keeping the crucial environmental issues. In this study, it is tried to evaluate both the commercial activities of the banks as well as its social responsibility which help to save the natural elements. In this evaluation, the objectives of green banking of different banks have been discussed. Also, statistical analysis has been shown of few sample banks.en_US
