    Abstract
This Research paper examines extrajudicial killings in Bangladesh from both a constitutional mandate and international instruments perspective. Chapter 01 introduces the study, including its background, importance, objectives, methodology, and limitations. The Theoretical Framework, discussed in Chapter 02, explores the definition, types, and factors contributing to extrajudicial killings. Chapter 03 delves into the international human rights framework and highlights the violation of international instruments regarding extrajudicial killings. In Chapter 04, the focus shifts to the violation of the Constitution of Bangladesh and the infringement of human rights through extrajudicial killings by the police. The emergence of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) as a particular unit of the Bangladesh Police is also discussed, along with the use of terms like "crossfire," "encounter," or "gunfight" to justify extrajudicial killings. Statistics from national dailies and recent cases further illustrate these killings' circumstances. Chapter 05 concludes the term paper by presenting recommendations for addressing extrajudicial killings in Bangladesh. The proposed recommendations include legislative and policy reforms, strengthening accountability mechanisms, and promoting human rights education. The paper ends with a concise summary of the findings and conclusions drawn from the research conducted. The References section, included in Chapter 06, provides a comprehensive list of sources used throughout the term paper, ensuring the credibility and academic integrity of the study.
