General Banking Activities of Commercial Bank: A Case Study on NRBC Bank PLC.

Abstract

This Report report provides a comprehensive overview of the general banking services offered by one of the leading financial institutions in Bangladesh. Being a finance student, I consider myself fortunate to have had the chance to do a Report and get valuable knowledge from a very reputable and successful organization like NRBC Bank PLC. NRBC Bank PLC is a prominent privately- owned commercial bank that commenced operations under the Bank Company Act 1991 on April 2, 2013. With its nationwide network of 103 branches and647 Sub branches (as of 31.12.2023), This organization known as pioneer of sub branches network of the banking industry in Bangladesh. Throughout my comprehensive study, I have made a diligent effort to thoroughly evaluate the General Banking services offered by NRBC Bank PLC. General banking includes activities such as account initiation, Remittance Service, pay order, fees collection, and cheque processing The General Banking division provides these services in a more efficient and improved manner. This report is divided into five sections. The main section will provide an overview of the report, including its purpose, objectives, and scope. The next section will introduce the Bangladesh Banking Industry. The paper will discuss selected challenges in the financial industry and provide information on NRBC BANK PLC, where I finished my internship program. The third section pertains to my comprehension of entry-level employment experience at NRBC Bank PLC. The fourth portion focuses on the ways in which the internship has contributed to the enrichment of both my personal and professional life, as well as enhancing my learning and personal development. Furthermore, in the last section, I provided my suggestions and recommendations for improvement in the future operation of general banking services based on my key findings during this Report report program at NRBC Bank PLC.
