“An Analysis on Foreign Exchange Operations of Commercial Bank: A Case Study on Southeast Bank PLC

Abstract

Southeast Bank is a private bank providing financial services to the customers. Southeast Bank is a leading private commercial bank which starts its operation on under companies act 1994 on March 12, 1995. Through its countrywide 135 branch network, it is providing a comprehensive and competitive banking service to the clients. The thesis program is very helpful to conduct the space between the theoretical knowledge and real-life experience as a part of Business Administration. This is one of the most integral parts of Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree. Based on the knowledge that I gathered from practical field, I prepared my thesis report entitled “An Analysis on Foreign Exchange Operations of Commercial Bank: A Case Study on Southeast Bank PLC”. This report consists of six chapters. The first chapter deals with introduction of report, literature review. The second chapter deals with organization profile. The third chapter deals with an overview of foreign exchange operations of Southeast Bank. The fourth chapter deals with export, import performances of Southeast Bank. The fifth chapter deals with strength, weakness, threat and opportunity of Southeast Bank in banking sector. The sixth chapter contains summary of findings of the study, recommendations and conclusion. From my overall study it is concluded that, for the growth of foreign exchange business of this bank should increase export business and heir more talented manpower, also should search for potential clients.
