| dc.description.abstract | Eon group is a fast growing conglomerate in Agro-based industry working to provide inputs to farmers
(crop & animal) to produce high yield and high-quality farm which is produced for consumers. This group
is engaged in manufacturing, import and distributing all types of agricultural inputs primarily for the
nation-wide local market and also for the global market. Our group is working with the vision to be a
contributor to “Food Security and Safety” in Bangladesh.
Green supply chain management (GSCM) plays a significant role in increasing the competitive advantages
of businesses by integrating environmental and economic targets into the supply chain operations.
Supply chain management is a major concern in many industries as companies realize the
importance of creating an integrated relationship with their suppliers and customers. Managing
the supply chain has become a way of improving competitiveness by reducing uncertainty and
improving service. One aspect of successfully managing the supply chain requires that a
company understand their logistical strategies and practices. Food & Agro industry has a great impact
on our economy depend on Food & Agro industry directly or indirectly. For this reason,
Food & Agro products and supply chain management practices should be updated and systemized to
smooth this broadens industry. As an internship program, I have chosen “Green Supply Chain
Management Practices”: A case study on Eon Group of Industries, Mawna , Sripur, Gazipur,
Bangladesh. This industry produces 100% Processing Food and Agro Based Product manufacturer and
great opportunity for creating jobs. I have performed 03 months internship in this organization and
observed productive procedure and its supply chain management. From this observation, I have to
realize not only production but also a
sound supply chain management meeting to achieve organizations goals. To prepare this report, I
have discussed with officials as well as workers about the production and its supply chain
management practices. Primary and secondary data help me build up a concrete information.
Some limitations were faced to prepare this report. I have drawn a small picture of Eon Group of
Industries. Then I have given a short theoretical framework to understand supply chain
management and its importance on Food & Agro industry to sustain in competitive markets in our
country. The main functions of supply chain management practices of Eon Group of Industries. (EGI)
have with this report. To make supply chain management practices of EGI betterment I have provided
recommendations which will be efficacy for this industry.
The core objective of the Thesis is to fulfill the requirement of the MSCM program as
I have been working as a Supply Chain Management
professional of Eon Group of industries . for last one year. This is one of the best ways,
where we can see the practical scenario of the corporate world. We can get fundamental idea
about job, corporate culture, which is not possible to learn through reading book or
performing classroom activities. The topic of the report is ―Supply chain Management Activities
