Human Resources Practices of AVIVA Equity Management Limited.
Abstract
During my internship at AVIVA Equity Management Limited (AEML), I gained practical
knowledge on the operations and coordination within the Human Resource (HR) division of the
organization. My experience allowed me to understand how the HR department ensures the right
people are in the right roles at the right time, facilitating smooth organizational functioning across
all levels. Additionally, I observed AEML's working culture and how the company values and
empowers its employees, fostering motivation and commitment.
This report begins with a profile of AVIVA Equity Management Limited, detailing its background,
mission, vision, products and services, and organizational structure. The next section covers the
core project, focusing on Human Resource Management at AEML. This project includes an
introduction to key HR topics such as recruitment, selection, and training and development.
Each chapter provides a detailed discussion of HR functions, followed by a section on AEML's
specific practices within the HR department. The report also includes a SWOT analysis, examining
the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to AEML’s HR management. The
findings and recommendations section addresses critical factors and offers suggestions for
improvement in HR practices at AEML. The report concludes with a summary of insights gained,
followed by references.
This experience has enriched my understanding of HR practices in a real-world setting, providing
valuable insights that will guide my future career in Human Resource Management.
