ADVISORY AND AUDITING AT ACNABIN CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS
Abstract
This internship report provides an overview of my experience during the internship at
ACNABIN Chartered Accountants, outlining key observations, tasks completed, and insights
gained throughout my time with the firm. The objective of this report is to highlight the firm's
operational processes, client service approach, and the role of interns in supporting the audit
team.
Firm Overview:
ACNABIN Chartered Accountants is a respected professional services firm specializing in
auditing, tax, and advisory services. It serves clients across various industries, including financial
services, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology. The firm is known for its high standards in
financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Internship Experience & Key Responsibilities:
During my internship, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a range of audit
related activities, working closely with senior auditors and teams. My key responsibilities
included:
• Assisting in Audits: I supported the audit team by preparing working papers, performing
substantive testing, and helping to review client financial statements.
• Data Analysis: I utilized data analytics tools to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential
risk areas in client data.
• Client Interaction: I observed client meetings and learned about the importance of
maintaining strong, professional client relationships and clear communication.
• Documentation: I assisted in organizing and maintaining audit documentation, ensuring
compliance with firm standards and industry regulations.
Key Insights:
1. Audit Process & Methodology:
• The audit process at ACNABIN Chartered Accountants is highly structured, with a focus
on thorough planning, risk assessment, and quality control. Interns are expected to assist in
various stages of the audit, from preliminary risk assessment to the final review of financial
statements.
• I observed the firm's adherence to auditing standards such as the International Standards on
Auditing (ISA), ensuring audits are carried out with precision and consistency.
