    Abstract
This thesis presents the design and development of a compact, energy-efficient thermoelectric refrigeration system as a sustainable alternative to conventional vapor compression technology. The system utilizes a TEC-12706 Peltier module as the primary cooling element, with an Arduino Uno microcontroller enabling automated control for precise operation. A DS18B20 digital temperature sensor provides accurate real-time monitoring, while a relay module regulates the switching of the Peltier device to maintain the desired setpoint, and a digital display allows direct observation of the chamber temperature. To enhance performance, aluminum heat sinks and DC fans are integrated on both sides of the Peltier module to improve heat transfer and sustain the required thermal gradient. The entire unit is powered by a 12V DC SMPS, ensuring stable operation. Experimental tests within an insulated chamber demonstrate effective temperature reduction and maintenance, making the system suitable for applications such as portable mini-refrigerators, medical sample storage, and vaccine transport. By combining microcontroller-based automation with solid-state thermoelectric cooling, this work highlights the potential of eco-friendly, compact, and energy-efficient refrigeration systems for portable and versatile applications.
