| dc.description.abstract | By adding steel fibers, concrete can overcome its noticeable brittleness and low tensile strength and strain capacity. The mechanical characteristics of concrete reinforced with high-strength steel fibers were examined in this study. The toughness index, compressive and splitting tensile strengths were among the characteristics. Steel fibers were introduced at 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5%, 3.0% volume fractions. At 2.5% volume fraction, the fiber-reinforced concrete's compressive strength peaked.
The splitting tensile strength and of the fiber-reinforced concrete improved with increasing the improvements, respectively. The compressive index of the fiber-reinforced concrete improved with increasing the compressive strength. Strength models were established to predict the compressive and splitting tensile strengths of the fiber-reinforced concrete. The models give predictions matching the measurements. | en_US |
