    Abstract
The marvel of gender-based domestic violence is spreading around the world. Residential viciousness has been straight missing related to each sorts of speedy and long term physical and mental harm to each human being. Family violence has dynamically been recognized not because it were as an issue of human rights but as well as a veritable open prosperity concern. Unfortunately, Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the world and it’s estimated about the number of victims of domestic violence people. Moreover, Bangladesh had been recognized by UDHR, ICCPR, and ICESCR to protect from gender-based domestic violence and especially CEDAW, DEVAW for preventing women’s rights from domestic violence. In our country, we have a special act which is “The Domestic Violence Protection and Prevention Act, 2010” for preventing domestic violence. But there is a question as to how far it has been implemented to protect their rights. When it turns into gender-based household viciousness, it doesn’t incorporate as it were ladies. Or maybe it incorporates all human starts counting males, females, children and Transgender. In this research paper, I have tried to examine the scope and limitations of the law to protect individuals from domestic violence to uphold their rights. The notion of gender-based domestic violence is not only limited to the violence that takes place in society but also violence that takes place in their families. It is visible that there has been major development in establishing their rights in many countries. But unfortunately, Bangladesh is struggling to ensure gender-based rights. Other than women, often men are becoming a victim of domestic violence but those incidents remain unreported. Most of the time, Children and transgender are also becoming the victims of domestic violence socially. So, in this research paper, I have attempted to center on the scope of the law, execution of law requirement and the restrictions beneath the law to anticipate domestic violence to guarantee their legitimate Equity.
