| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation is focused on the Lower Successibility Rate of Criminal Cases in
Bangladesh: A Critical Analysis with Problem Solutions" Causes of Delay in Disposing
Criminal Cases in the Criminal Justice System of Bangladesh" is a mechanism to ensure
human rights and fundamental rights of the people of the society. The primary purpose of
Criminal Law and Criminal Justice System is to control crime, punish the offenders, prevent
crimes, protect innocents, and to maintain a fair degree of solidity and stability in society.
In this thesis, the main objectives are to explore the Criminal Justice System In Bangladesh,
to analyze the recent legislative and judicial trends and investigate the problems of criminal
justice system and to find out ways to solve the problems if there are any. However there
are some well-known problems such as, delays in Criminal Justice System are various in
natures. Procedural delay can be found both in at investigation and trial stages. Low
budgetary allocation for the prosecutorial service, Lack of accountability, Lack of
professional competence and proper training remain major weaknesses of our prosecutorial
service that undermine the process of Criminal Justice system in Bangladesh. It is
recommended that Court Resource should be increased to cope up with the case load.
Proportion of judges must be increased according to judge’s population ratio. Effective
planning management and coordination should be taken high important to clear up and
monitor the backlog of cases. Government should make a choice for permanent Attorney
system to secure speedy and important justice system. A proper Criminal Justice system can
ensure that the society is in peace and harmony. People will be more aware of their rights
and those who do wrong, will be punished accordingly. By this procedure the rule of law
can be established and democracy can be practiced effectively. | en_US |
