Digital collaboration tools have transformed how individuals write, share, and work together in real time. However, conventional platforms impose mandatory account registration and session management, introducing significant onboarding friction that deters spontaneous collaboration particularly among students and professionals seeking immediate access to shared workspaces. PinPad addresses this gap as a fully account free, link based, real-time collaborative note-taking application. A beta evaluation was conducted among 25 university students and professionals in Bangladesh, assessing usability, synchronisation performance, and satisfaction with the zero friction model. The system architecture employs a decoupled Express/Socket.io backend achieving sub 50ms real-time delta synchronisation, complemented by link scoped permission controls and bcrypt-backed password protection as document layer alternatives to traditional authentication. Results indicate that 92% of participants rated the experience as satisfactory or highly satisfactory, with all latency benchmarks met under concurrent load. PinPad demonstrates that robust, real time collaboration is achievable entirely outside the traditional user-account paradigm offering a reproducible blueprint for friction-free digital productivity tooling.en_US
