Demand for energy is increasing in an alarming rate. This is due to the rapid outgrowth of population and urbanization. Conventional energy sources are not sufficient to face the phenomena of energy shortage. In this condition, renewable energy can be a substitute of conventional energy. Bio-oil is an attractive alternative energy source for many reasons. Most notably, it is completely renewable and easily created from common waste products. Using biofuel feedstock such as plastic waste, the pyrolysis process results in “net zero” carbon dioxide emissions and no sulfoxide emissions.Aim of this thesis work is designing, constructing of a pyrolysis apparatus and extracting bio fuel from plastic waste. Plastic waste is very common type of bio-mass. A fixed bed pyrolysis apparatus was designed and constructed. After pyrolysis process, some amount of liquid fuel, solid char and incondensable gas were obtained.en_US
