dc.description.abstractSolar modulesare devicesthat cleanly convertsunlightintoelectricityand offerapracticalsolutiontotheproblem ofpowergenerationinremote areas.ThisprojectinvolvesthedevelopmentofanAutomaticSolarradiation trackerthatcouldbefurtherusedforagriculturepurpose,makinguseofa GSM Moduleasthecontrolsystem.Fossilfuelsarearelativelyshort-term energysourceconsequently;theusesofalternativesourcessuchassolar energyarebecomingmorewidespread.Tomakesolarenergymoreviable, theefficiencyofsolararraysystemsmustbemaximized.Afeasibleapproach tomaximizingtheefficiencyofsolararraysystemsissuntracking.Proposed inthispaperisasystem thatcontrolsthemovementofasolararraysothat itisconstantlyalignedtowardsthedirectionofthesun.Thesolartracker designedandconstructedinthispaperoffersareliableandaffordable methodofaligningasolarmodulewiththesuninordertomaximizeits energy output. Automatic Sun Tracking System is a hybrid hardware/softwareprototype,whichautomaticallyprovidesbestalignment ofsolarpanelwiththesun,togetmaximum output(electricity).Thesystem willbeimplementedforirrigationpurposewhereintheirrigationsystemwill becontrolledusingaGSMtechnologyen_US
