dc.description.abstractDhaka has experienced a significant depletion of its ground water resources due to excessive pumping for drinking water, industrial use, and irrigation. At present, the average depth (below ground level) of the groundwater table is about 78 meters, which may sink down to 132 meters in the next 10-12 years. For surely, it can be a threat to human advancement. Hence, there is no alternative to Managed Aquifer Recharge system to face this problem. The research focuses on Managed Aquifer Recharge techniques as a promising solution to reduce the construction cost, suggestion to use Managed Aquifer with a compatible design, risk and limitations for implementing Managed Aquifer Recharge systems Uttara, Dhanmondi and Fakirapul in Dhaka City.en_US
