Study On Structural Design And Analysis Of A Ten Storied Residential Building By Using Manual Calculatio (USD) And Software (ETABS)

Abstract

The study on “Structural Design and Analysis of a Ten Storied Residential Building by Using Manual Calculation (USD) and Software (ETABS) was conducted in the Department of Civil Engineering, Sonargaon University , Dhaka , Bangladesh with the Objectives to make a project and thesis with a view to partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering(B.Sc. in CE).

In this thesis paper we perform a structural analysis of a Ten Storied Residential Building by Using Manual calculation and ETABS software. We wanted to find the variance between this two systems analysis. We analysis Slab, Beam, Stair, Column, using both system to with a view. To check the design and to choose the most active method concerning economy, safety and productivity and to make some recommendation. After following information’s was observed: Most of the structure elements are almost are same Cross-sectional area in same location. During this analysis, we noticed that ETABS is much easier than manual calculation. It is really a time saving software for structural design.
