dc.description.abstract | This thesis explores the strategic role of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
in HR Planning and Development in Mid to Large Sized Organizations: A Case
Study on Banking Industry. As businesses increasingly rely on digital transformation to
enhance operational efficiency, HRIS has emerged as a vital tool in streamlining HR
processes, improving decision-making, and fostering organizational growth.
The primary objective of this study is to analyze how HRIS contributes to more effective
HR planning and development by providing accurate, real-time data and automating key
HR functions such as recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and
employee development. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research
methods, this report examines the implementation of HRIS in various organizational
contexts, identifies best practices, and evaluates the challenges faced during adoption.
Data was collected through surveys and interviews with HR professionals from a range of
mid to large-sized companies in Bangladesh. The findings reveal that organizations
leveraging HRIS experience improved accuracy in workforce planning, greater alignment
between HR strategy and organizational goals, and enhanced employee engagement
through data-driven development initiatives.
This report concludes that the integration of HRIS into HR planning and development is
no longer optional but essential for competitive advantage. It also provides actionable
recommendations for organizations looking to optimize their HRIS usage and for HR
leaders aiming to drive strategic value through technology | en_US |
