dc.description.abstract | This project focuses on the design and construction of an electromagnetic braking
system, which utilizes the principles of electromagnetism to generate braking
force in mechanical systems. The system aims to replace traditional mechanical
brakes, offering advantages such as reduced wear and tear, precise control, and
faster response times. The project involved selecting appropriate materials and
components, including a rotating wheel, shaft, bearings, electromagnet, and a
12V DC motor. A detailed analysis was conducted to determine the ideal
configuration and performance of the system. The working principle relies on the
interaction between the magnetic field generated by the electromagnet and the
rotating wheel, providing an efficient braking mechanism. A prototype was
developed and tested, with results indicating significant improvements in braking
efficiency and system reliability. The project concludes with recommendations
for future enhancements and applications in various industries, including
automotive and manufacturing. | en_US |
