Job Satisfaction of Employees in Bangladesh: A Case Study on Gramin Textile Industry

Abstract

The textile industry plays a pivotal role in Bangladesh‟s economy, generating significant revenue and providing jobs to millions. Gramin Textile Industry, founded in 2007, is a vital part of this sector, with a focus on producing high-quality textiles. The company employs around 500 workers and continues to grow, offering a diverse range of textile products. This report focuses on employee job satisfaction within Gramin Textile Industry, a key factor that influences productivity, retention, and overall organizational success. As part of my internship, I researched various aspects of job satisfaction, including working conditions, salary, job security, and opportunities for career development. The findings suggest that while Gramin Textile Industry adheres to industry standards for worker satisfaction, there are areas for improvement. Addressing employee concerns and ensuring better job satisfaction can lead to increased motivation, reduced turnover, and enhanced work performance, ultimately benefiting both the employees and the company. This study aims to provide insights into how Gramin Textile can further improve its human resource practices, create a more supportive work environment, and strengthen its position in the market by focusing on the well-being and satisfaction of its employees.
