    Abstract
    This internship report is a partial requirement of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program and is based on practical training at Comfort Nursing Home (Hospital), a reputed healthcare institution in Bangladesh. The internship was designed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, focusing specifically on accounting practices within a healthcare setting. The Accounting Department of Comfort Nursing Home, led by the Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Finance, plays a central role in managing financial operations. Its responsibilities include accounts payable and receivable, payroll, taxation, financial reporting, and internal control systems. The hospital follows a hybrid accounting model, utilizing a custom ERP system for patient services, Tally Prime for accounting and financial reporting, and manual registers for record summaries. This combination ensures operational efficiency, data security, and ease of understanding for senior decision-makers. During the internship, I actively participated in tasks such as cheque register management, payroll preparation, transaction tracking, and tax compliance. I also gained exposure to the preparation of financial reports and internal audits, which provided practical insights into the application of accounting principles in a serviceoriented industry. The report further analyzes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of Comfort Nursing Home’s accounting practices and identifies areas for improvement. Key recommendations include strengthening the use of accounting software, enhancing staff training, and improving digital backup systems to ensure resilience.
